Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for developing new business, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through customized freight solutions.
The ideal candidate is a true hunter—competitive, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a high-energy sales environment. Prior experience in the freight/logistics industry is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities across the Chicagoland market
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored transportation solutions (LTL, TL, expedited, intermodal)
- Manage a full sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed revenue goals
- Partner with internal operations teams (tracking, check-calls, problem resolution, billing, claims) to ensure a high level of service and execution
- Stay informed on market trends and pricing to remain competitive and solution-oriented
Required:
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience within freight/logistics (LTL, TL, expedited, or intermodal)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
