Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to support our busy excavating company. This part-time role will focus on bookkeeping tasks, general office administration, and assisting with the preparation and submission of project bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking.
- Handle general office tasks such as filing, data entry, managing email correspondence, and ordering office supplies.
- Assist in preparing and submitting bids, including gathering project details, compiling estimates, formatting documents, and coordinating with the team.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and field staff as needed.
- Maintain organized records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in office administration, bookkeeping, or a similar role (construction industry experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and bookkeeping software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional phone manner.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
