What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Title Clerk position at Klaben Auto Stores?
Klaben Auto Stores has an immediate opening for a dependable, detail-oriented and organized person to process vehicle titles for new and used automotive vehicles in a high-volume dealership.
Summary of Essential Duties:
- Prepare odometer statements, application for titles, power of attorney forms, etc.;
- Title vehicles from wholesales, dealer trades and trade-ins;
- Prepare tax and title documents and calculate fees and taxes in a timely manner according to state laws;
- Process documentation, payment and receipts relating to MSO’s, floor-plan transfers, dealer trades and out-of-state titles;
- Light bookkeeping, posting journal entries and maintaining accounting schedules and records;
- Submit documents via electronic titling system to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles as required by law;
- Verify receipt of funds and payment of lienholders;
- Cross-train in all office positions and cross-train others for this position as directed by management; fill in for other office positions as needed and directed by management to assure customer satisfaction.

- Emphasize accuracy in carrying out all duties;
- Treat customers with respect and deliver straightforward, genuine and personal service;
- Adhere to all governmental regulations and dealership policies pertaining to protecting the privacy of customer information.
- Notarize paperwork as needed for employees and customers; currently possess or obtain Notary within 30 days;
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of prior auto title experience preferred; accounting or bookkeeping experience or training reasonably related to the essential duties of the job desirable;
- EZE Titling Software knowledge is a plus
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Possess excellent customer service skills;
- Maintain neat and clean appearance;
- Be punctual in all aspects of employment;·
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
