What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Specialist position at Kitsap Tractor & Equipment?
Kitsap Tractor & Equipment is a growing, family-owned heavy equipment dealership serving Western Washington since the 1990s. We represent Hitachi construction equipment, Kubota tractors and compact equipment, and STIHL power equipment. As we continue to grow, we’re looking to add a Parts & Service Specialist to our Silverdale team. This is a front-counter and phone-based role focused on helping customers with parts, service intake, and keeping the process straightforward and efficient.
What You’ll Do:
Assist customers (in person, over the phone, and via email) with parts and service needs
Identify and source parts for Hitachi, Kubota, and STIHL equipment
Coordinate service intake and communicate customer concerns clearly to the shop
Handle work order intake, invoicing, payment processing, and follow-up
Keep customers informed on order status, service timelines, and availability
Build and maintain relationships with contractors, operators, and homeowners
Help maintain an organized, accurate front counter and parts department
What We’re Looking For:
Mechanical knowledge and experience preferred
Clear, professional communication
Strong follow-through and attention to detail
Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks at once
Self-motivated and dependable
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Parts, service writing, heavy equipment, automotive, ag, or related experience is very helpful, but not required

Pay: $20-$22/hour DOE
Part-time or Full-time available

Must be able to pass a drug test
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work Saturdays, with Sunday and a weekday off
