Senior Associate, Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop, Design and Engineer optimized solar PV and PV/BESS systems for project specific scopes 5MW- 20MW
- Engineering and design of 5- 20MW photovoltaic solar systems, including solar paired with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar only or BESS only
- Work within the Project Engineering & Execution team adhering to company design standards and quality for completing designs of Photovoltaic and battery storage systems
- Improve upon company standards when possible and consistently deliver engineering assignments on time and on budget
- Design to include scope of work, complete bill of materials, specifications, and design drawings directly or through 3rd parties
- Utilize and update where necessary standard specifications for project 3rd party Engineering support. Review proposals and finalize contracts for 3rd party support and contract execution
- Develop and maintain design basis and proposal requirements, knowledge of codes and standards, design procedures, methods and process, and improve efficiency of project development and project selection process
- Assist Project Development or Sales in communicating value proposition to client(s)
- Assist with Preparation of Investment review materials for FID approval
- Provide technical guidance for legal and business decision making
- Support Project Manager during construction and commissioning
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering from and accredited college or university with a focus on Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineering
- Continuing Education in areas of PV and BESS
- Minimum of 5 years of Engineering, permitting, construction and commissioning of the PV and BESS Utility or large Distributed Energy projects
- Fully versed in PV Syst
- Strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge, able to fully produce project design packages
- Providing technical support to sales and developers through a range of energy projects
- Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Energy modeling, PV specific modeling, standard electrical calculations, basic structural and mechanical calculations
- Drafting with AutoCAD
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
