Now Hiring: Senior Construction Accountant (Full-Time)
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Construction Accountant to support our growing heavy civil construction operations. This role will focus on cleaning up and strengthening our financial systems, with an emphasis on QuickBooks, job costing, and accurate project financials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean up and restructure QuickBooks (chart of accounts, classes, cost codes)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, AP/AR, and resolve discrepancies
- Implement and manage job costing and budget vs. actual tracking
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements
- Assist with cash flow tracking and reporting
- Work closely with estimating and operations teams to ensure job profitability
Qualifications:
- 5 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong experience with QuickBooks (cleanup and rebuilds required)
- Knowledge of job costing, WIP, and construction financials
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
- Experience in heavy civil or TxDOT projects is a plus
