Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and production variance analysis.
- Track, analyze, and report on R&D expenses and project costs.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for manufacturing and R&D programs.
- Support internal and external audit processes and maintain documentation for compliance.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to analyze production costs and improve financial reporting processes.
- Contribute to process improvements and ERP system enhancements as the company continues to scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in R&D-driven or manufacturing environments.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Experience with inventory accounting and manufacturing cost structures.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- CPA or CPA-track preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments (such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle).
- Experience supporting R&D project accounting and financial analysis.
- Experience supporting audit and compliance activities.
