What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Tech II - Fitness Center position at KINGS DAUGHTERS MEDICAL CENTER?
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary fitness center environment while adhering to infection prevention, safety, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect fitness equipment and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and common areas.
- Maintain saunas.
- Clean glass doors and windows as needed.
- Perform floor care (sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum).
- Restock supplies.
- Complete logs and inspections.
- Follow safety and infection control standards.
- Report maintenance concerns.
- Provide customer service.
Pool Responsibilities
- Maintain pool area cleanliness including deck, floors, and surrounding surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect pool seating areas and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain dressing rooms associated with pool area.
- Ensure proper sanitation standards are followed in wet environments by using proper disinfectant for proper contact time.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards in pool or surrounding areas.
Education
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
Experience
- Experience with cleaning equipment preferred.
Special Qualifiations
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, and to communicate effectively.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and tolerate prolonged periods of standing and walking, frequent bending, kneeling, and/or climbing.
