Responsibilities
- Safely bathe, dry, and groom pets according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Handle animals with care, ensuring proper restraint and comfort throughout grooming procedures
- Assist with pet handling during check-in, check-out, and grooming appointments
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
- Observe pets for signs of health issues or distress and communicate concerns to veterinary staff or management
- Support pet sitting and kennel duties as needed to ensure animals are well-cared for during their visit
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pet care advice
Skills
- Experience with dog training, pet grooming, and animal handling techniques
- Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of animal restraint methods and pet care best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or equipment setup
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Familiarity with kennel operations and pet sitting responsibilities
