F&B Lead
Primary Function
To serve food and beverage to guests and team members in alignment with the mission and core values of the company.
Essential Responsibilities
All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, Safety Regulations and other legal regulations and requirements (California Health & Safety Code, Division 104, Part 7 - Retail Food). Essential responsibilities include the following and please note that additional duties may be assigned at a future date:
- Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner; take food and drink orders accurately; deliver food and drink orders in a timely manner; check back with guests often to inquire how their dining experience is progressing and to ensure satisfaction; maintain cleanliness throughout.
- Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines.
- Promote teamwork efficiency by circulating the gaming floor and dining room for maximum availability, and assisting others, as needed.
- Monitor and enforce all the principles of RBS (Responsible Beverage Service), liquor license guidelines, and our company’s Alcohol Consumption policy.
- Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience by establishing and maintaining a good rapport with guests to promote continued patronage.
- Properly categorize and perform comps, promos, and deletions.
- Run checkouts and verify that the checkout slips are filled out correctly.
- Receive or give the proper amount of money according to what the checkout lists in the total cash owed section.
- Balance out any money owed by the Casino by using money from another checkout. Thoroughly document the transaction, including how much money was taken and the reason why.
- Fill in the daily checkout Excel workbook for their part of the business day.
- Separate tips into their appropriate envelopes and write the tipping employee's first name and the amount turned in on the front of the envelope.
- Make sure side work is done before the staff ends their shift.
- Phase staff based on levels of sales/business and needs going into the next shift.
- Write notes in the log about significant operational occurrences on the shift and end-of-shift notes. Discuss any issues with employees with the Food and Beverage Manager or CSM, outside of the log.
- Handle guest complaints and get CSM involved if necessary.
- Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the CSM, Security or General Manager.
- Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.
- Attend annual AML/BSA training, as scheduled.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.
Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
