- Conducts pre-shift meeting with scheduled team members.
- Delegates all work assignments to entire staff by shift.
- Assists in the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of the stewarding staff.
- Trains all new hires in all aspects of deep cleaning and Stewarding.
- Covers for Supervisors when they are on PTO.
- Manages and is accountable for chemical usage.
- Trains on MSDS sheets as required for New Hires.
- Sets break schedule for team members by shift.
- Communicates as leadership representative to support departments when necessary.
- Ensures compliance to standards set by management in scraping, racking, stacking, and washing of china and glassware.
- Keeps work area clean and sanitary.
- Complies with standards of health, safety, and sanitation.
- Understands and practices the use of proper chemicals on property.
- Maintains knowledge of sanitation, dishwashing, maintenance, and safety standards.
- Monitors and records dish machine temperatures daily.
- Directly supervises all stewards and utility stewards on assigned shift.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
