Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a proven Business Development Manager for a client to aggressively drive new commercial construction opportunities.
This is a culture first company that is growing and is looking for someone to find projects and bid work throughout Oakland County for Commercial Remodel/Construction. The company does jobs ranging from one day to $2M with an increased focus on larger jobs in the Commercial/Multi-Family Space. This position will report directly to the owner. This is a stable and growing company building a great reputation. Looking for someone to add to the sales team to continue stable growth for the company.
Key Responsibilities
· Prospect and develop new commercial construction opportunities through direct outreach and networking
· Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and real estate partners
· Identify, qualify, and pursue new project leads aligned with company capabilities
· Drive opportunities from initial contact and contract award
· Build out estimates and partner with Operations to scope projects.
· Support proposal development, interviews, and client presentations
· Maintain an active and healthy pipeline to support revenue targets
· Attend industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
· Track opportunities, contacts, and activity in CRM systems
· Monitor market trends, competitors, and upcoming developments
· Represent the company professionally in all external interactions
Qualifications
· Demonstrated success in business development or sales within commercial construction
· Strong understanding of the commercial construction lifecycle and procurement methods
· Existing relationships within commercial, industrial, or institutional markets preferred
· Comfortable prospecting, cold outreach, and initiating new client conversations
· Ability to coordinate effectively with estimating and project teams
· Strong organization, follow-up, and pipeline discipline
· Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and regionally
