The company has a stable operating model and a growth plan to add additional services and continue scaling the company.Position SummaryThe Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing daily field operations for Spray-Patch’s pavement maintenance and repair services. This role leads crews, coordinates work schedules, ensures equipment and materials are prepared, and works directly on job sites to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. The company has aggressive growth plans, and the best candidate will be someone that has the skills and interest to grow their skills to match the company’s growth.It is important to note that this is a hands-on field leadership position that combines supervision, operational planning, and direct labor using the specialized spray injection process. To say plainly, this position will manage the site and actively participate as a worker on the site. The Operations Lead plays a key role in maintaining service quality, crew performance, and customer satisfaction. The role owns day-to-day Spray-Patch daily field operations.Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Supervision• Develop expert-level proficiency by personally operating spray-patch equipment and applying material on site• Lead and supervise field crews while actively participating and directing job site work• Ensure projects are completed according to schedule, scope, and company standards• Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to crew members• Jobsite authority to keep work moving safely, efficiently, and to company standards• Serve as a culture cornerstone, working with the owner to model, reinforce, and scale high-performance behaviors Scheduling & Coordination• Schedule daily work activities and assign crews and equipment• Coordinate with customers regarding job timing, access, and expectations• Adjust schedules and staffing as needed due to weather, workload, or site conditions Equipment, Materials & Safety• Ensure equipment is properly loaded, maintained, and ready for daily operations• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate preventative maintenance• Manage materials and supplies to avoid shortages or delays• Enforce safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance• Routinely use Skid Steers, Avants, and Spray-Patch machines Quality Control & Customer Communication• Monitor work quality and address issues promptly• Communicate professionally with customers on job sites• Ensure completed work meets Spray-Patch quality and performance standards QualificationsRequired• High integrity, emotionally intelligent, and personally driven• Prior field leadership or crew supervision experience in construction, paving, utilities, or related trades• Strong understanding of job site operations and safety practices• Mechanical aptitude and experience overseeing equipment• Ability to work extended hours, including seasonal overtime and occasional weekends• Strong communication and organizational skills• Valid driver’s license; CDL with DOT Medical card - or ability to obtain What Success Looks Like• Candidate to become an expert spray-injection repair technician• Crews leave prepared, on time, and with clear direction• Jobs are completed to standard and field problems are solved in real time• Quality issues and callbacks are minimized• Equipment and materials are consistently ready and maintained Preferred• Experience with pavement maintenance or asphalt-related services• Veteran or military background• Experience training and developing field personnel• Experience using Skid Steers, Avants, or similar equipment Physical & Work Environment Requirements• Regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions• Ability to lift, carry, and operate equipment and materials associated with pavement work• Ability to stand, walk, and work on job sites for extended periods Growth & Development• Opportunity to expand responsibilities into estimating, quoting, and sales support• Career advancement with a growing pavement services organization• Long-term leadership opportunity for high-performing individualsJob ScheduleThis role typically works 35–50 hours per week during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Winter operations are generally lighter, with responsibilities shifting based on weather, workload, and company needs. Winter work may include shop maintenance, equipment, and rig rebuilds, preventative maintenance, training, process improvement, next-season planning and preparation, emergency response work, and coordination with partner companies.
