Reports to: Buildings/Grounds Supervisor
The Building and Grounds Worker will be responsible for monitoring the overall
condition of the Marina. He/She will have to be diverse enough to handle from the
smallest cleaning jobs to identifying conditions that could lend to a large emergency. It
will be his/her job to coordinate with the Buildings Supervisor to identify and facilitate
repairs, and to keep the Marina buildings and grounds clean.
DUTIES

condition of the Marina. He/She will have to be diverse enough to handle from the
smallest cleaning jobs to identifying conditions that could lend to a large emergency. It
will be his/her job to coordinate with the Buildings Supervisor to identify and facilitate
repairs, and to keep the Marina buildings and grounds clean.
DUTIES
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the entire facility.
- Major priority areas to be kept clean are:
- Restrooms, public and staff;
- Laundry room;
- Showers;
- Office, Ship's Store and other building areas used by public & employees;
- Trash receptacles are emptied before they are full;
- Litter pick-up from docks, water surface, parking lots, roads and other.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Harbormaster, for example:
- Haul out—wash boat bottoms and assist with shrink wrap;
- Launch — remove shrink wrap and put up canvas;
- Snow removal.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs required;
- Heavy lifting required;
- Working in high places sometimes required;
- Knowledge of painting preparation and painting;
- Ability to safely use power tools required
