What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Overhead Door Field Technician position at King Construction?
We are seeking a Lead Overhead Door Field Technician to join our team. Duties include installing overhead doors and openers, troubleshooting problems, and performing service calls.
ABILITIES
Able to work off ladders, or a scissor lift, and not afraid of heights.
Able to safely operate a company truck with attached trailer.
Physically able to load and unload materials needed at the jobsite.
Able to communicate with management concerning any issues.
Be responsible for the work truck and tools.
REQUIREMENTS
2-4 years previous experience in commercial overhead doors
Valid insurable driver’s license
Able to handle physical aspects associated with the workload
Strong work ethic
Ability to complete tasks on time
Ability to troubleshoot during service work
Basic electrical knowledge helpful
Ability to pass a drug test

Physical Demands
Ability to lift 75-80 pounds.
Ability to stand and/or bend for large portions of the day.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Some weeks may require overtime.
Travel
Travel is expected with this position with the possibility of some overnight stays.
Required Education
1. High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience
1. Four years of related experience.
2. Two years of mechanical and /or construction knowledge.
