We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer with a busy electronics manufacturer in Santa Ana, CA. The ideal candidate would be team-oriented and results-driven quality engineer to support critical customers, including but not limited to Aerospace, Space, and Military, by coordinating and managing daily quality assurance activities designed to ensure continuous quality improvement and consistent production of products in compliance with established Quality Goals, Procedures, and Customers Requirements by performing the following duties: Develop and analyze data to determine whether present processes and procedures meet the finished product's proposed quality and reliability expectancy. I will also assist in the development/implementation of quality plans and processes for new customers, products, and technologies.Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers and quality staff to maximize product quality/reliability and minimize costs.Support all team members engaged in production, inspection, and testing activities to ensure the consistent and repeatable delivery of finished goods that conform to customers' requirements.Plans, promotes and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.Address customer complaints regarding quality based on investigations and ensure the timely implementation of related preventive and corrective actions.Promote awareness and strict compliance with all customer requirements and deliverables throughout the organization. Minimum Qualifications:Ability to review and understand high reliability (HI-REL) customers' requirements and potential implications on an existing process.Strong methodology for investigating RC and providing permanent CAPA solutions to customers' complaints to avoid any possible reoccurrences.Technical understanding of EMS processes to participate at the highest level while interacting with other departments in the investigation, process improvement, and recommendations addressing customer concerns.Authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to the product, process, and quality system.Complete understanding of IPC Industry Standards and MIL-STD artistry acceptability guidelines.Review and analyze suspected non-conformances from the assembly process, including but not limited to SMT, Wave/Selective soldering, and Mechanical Assembly, to establish its acceptability under IPC 610, IPC 600, and J-STD-001.Able to review and understand Quality Clauses flowed down by customers to ensure the implementation and compliance of all requirementsAble to perform Root Cause investigation of quality escapes and propose permanent Corrective and Preventive Actions as required.Compiles and analyzes data to generate reports, metrics, and KPIs for the department manager and/or customer as required.Able to understand/recognize Aerospace quality requirements and generate AS9102 FAIR Education:Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
