We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Lab Technician with a busy electronics manufacturer in Anaheim Hills, CA. The Lab Technician will perform diagnostic tests and failure analysis of electrochemical and optical sensors; does chemical, physical, electrical, and optical experiments supporting R&D projects; performs other work assigned by manager.Core tasks:Make chemical solutions for sensor tests and research work, using lab measuring tools such as digital scales, flasks, beakers, and pipettes etc.Perform sensor test and failure analysis using various lab tools and equipment, including (not limited to) digital multimeter, potentiostat/galvanostat, FTIR, CIP tester, environmental chamber, and cutting tools.Perform chemical, electrical, electrochemical, optical, and electrical experiments, supporting R&D projects.Organize and document test and experimental data.Maintain lab tools and instruments, including managing maintenance schedule, repairing, and calibration.Keep lab clean.Submit purchase requisitions to order chemicals, materials, parts, devices, and instruments.Complementary tasks:Write test reports.Support production: observing production processes; transferring engineering solutions from R&D to productionSkills and AbilitiesKnowledge of fundamental physics, chemistry, and mathematics.Knowledge of commonly used electronic devices, instruments, and equipment in R&D lab.Skills in sensor assembly, disassembly, and dissection.Knowledge of chemical and materials hazards, Safety Data Sheets, and proper handling and storage procedures.Respond to spills and incidents in the lab within established guidelines.Read and interpret laboratory procedures and formulas.Familiar with personal computers and MS Office.Follow oral and written instructions.Complete daily work assignments within agreed upon time frame.Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.Education/Training: B.S. degree in science or engineering.Experience/Certification: Two or more years of laboratory experience is preferred.
