What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Social Worker position at Kindred Souls of Wyoming?
Medical Social Worker (MSW) | Kindred Souls Home Health | Gillette, WY
Full-Time · Contract · $35–$45/hr DOE
Some of the most important work in home health has nothing to do with wound care or exercises. It’s the family that doesn’t know how to pay for medications, the caregiver on the edge of burnout, or the patient who’s quietly afraid of what comes next.
That’s where you come in.
At Kindred Souls, you’ll meet patients and families in their own homes, where you can see the whole picture: the support they have, the resources they’re missing, and what it will really take for them to stay safe and well. You’ll connect them with community resources, help with long-term planning, and give the rest of the care team the insight they need to treat the whole person.
Work the way that fits your life
- Full-time: $35–$45/hr depending on experience, plus health insurance and an IRA with up to 3% match
- Contract MSW: a rate negotiated to fit your availability and caseload
- Already working elsewhere or in private practice? Contract work may be a great fit. Let’s talk.
Why our team loves working here
At Kindred Souls, our patients always come first, ahead of deadlines and productivity. Our nurses, therapists, and aides stay because they get to give the kind of care they got into healthcare to give.
- You set your own schedule. You plan your visits around your patients and your life.
- Your ride is covered. You can use a company vehicle, or drive your own and receive per diem.
- Your tools are provided. We supply a company computer, the EHR, and everything you need for visits.
- A small, close-knit team that knows the Gillette community and actually talks to each other
