Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, to implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based ABA therapy protocols. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence and skill development
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement individualized behavior management strategies as outlined in care plans for clients with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities
- Conduct direct behavioral therapy sessions in various settings, including home-based environments and school settings
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, teachers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and support across environments
- Support clients’ behavioral health goals by applying principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management techniques
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and implementing ABA therapy protocols
- Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly
- Familiarity with special education practices, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients’ independence in daily routines
- Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information
