About Us:
We are a rapidly growing mobile device wholesaler and distributor, processing thousands of used smartphones every month for resale across global markets and e-commerce channels. We are seeking an experienced Apple Device Repair Technician to perform precise and efficient repairs on iPhones and iPads while assisting with diagnostic testing and quality control as needed.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will primarily perform hardware repairs and part replacements on Apple devices that do not pass quality control testing. You will use your hands-on technical expertise to repair devices to full working order while maintaining our high cosmetic and functional standards for resale. While the primary focus is on repairs, you may also assist with diagnostic testing, functional verification, and cosmetic inspections when needed to support production workflow.
This position requires prior hands-on Apple repair experience. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to identify subtle defects quickly and accurately in a production-paced environment.
Duties:
- Diagnose and repair Apple iPhone and iPad devices that fail quality control testing.
- Perform part replacements including screens, batteries, cameras, housings, and charging ports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues at the component level.
- Conduct post-repair diagnostic testing to confirm full device functionality.
- Perform cosmetic inspections to ensure devices meet resale appearance standards.
- Accurately document repairs, parts used, and test results for traceability and quality records.
- Communicate effectively with QC technicians regarding recurring defects and repair trends.
- Support production by assisting with device testing or final quality checks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized repair workstation and follow ESD and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior hands-on repair experience with Apple iPhones and iPads is mandatory.
- Strong technical understanding of Apple hardware, diagnostics, and component-level functionality.
- Ability to identify and document both functional and cosmetic defects with precision.
- High attention to detail, focus, and consistency during repetitive testing tasks.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for accurate repair logging.
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Lifting up to 35 lbs. may be required occasionally.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional Apple iPhone device repair or quality control experience in a repair/refurbishment setting.
- Technical certifications (Apple Certified Technician, WISE, CompTIA A , or equivalent) preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $20.00–$21.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
- Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, up to 40 hours a week. Overtime available based on operational needs.
