About Us:
We are a rapidly growing mobile device wholesaler and distributor, processing thousands of used smartphones every month for resale across global markets and e-commerce channels. We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Apple Device Quality Control Testing Technician to join our team.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will evaluate and test a high volume of Apple devices (primarily iPhones and iPads) daily to ensure they meet our strict quality standards for resale and distribution. You’ll play a key role in our production workflow, ensuring only properly tested, functional devices move forward for sale, while defective devices get properly routed for internal repair.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough quality control and diagnostic testing of iPhone and iPad devices.
- Perform detailed cosmetic inspections to identify cracks, scratches, LCD imperfections, audio defects, and other quality-impacting issues.
- Utilize testing software to verify the functionality of devices.
- Accurately document defects and testing results in a clear, consistent manner for internal reference and downstream repairs.
- Assist with recording and receiving incoming inventory.
- Package, sort, and perform final cosmetic QC of devices once testing is completed.
- Support warehouse operations by helping pick, pack, and ship e-commerce orders when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with smartphones, particularly iPhones.
- Knowledge of iOS and MacOS; ability to troubleshoot basic iOS device issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects.
- Ability to clearly document findings and communicate technical issues.
- High attention to detail with repetitive tasks and testing procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet production quotas in a fast-paced environment.
- Lifting up to 35 lbs. may be required occasionally.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in cell phone repair, refurbishment, or quality control environment; OR
- Coursework completed in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $17.50/hr
- Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, up to 40 hours a week. Overtime available.
