Safety Coordinator
Location: Chino, CA
Hours: 5am - 1:30 pm, plus OT

Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining workplace health and safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with management and employees to identify hazards, conduct training, and promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain workplace safety programs and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments throughout the facility.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs including PPE, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.
- Maintain safety documentation such as training records, compliance records, and permit reports.
- Facilitate safety committee meetings and follow up on corrective actions.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and behavior-based safety initiatives.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reports, safety metrics, and communication.
- Ability to use Excel for tracking safety data, injury logs, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Experience with safety management or EHS software systems for incident reporting, audits, and training tracking.
- Ability to maintain safety records and OSHA documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Recommended Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of safety experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Frequent walking in production or warehouse areas.
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment and industrial environments.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs or standing for long periods.
