Responsibilities
As an IHOP Assistant Manager, you will:
- Support the Restaurant Manager in leading daily front- and back-of-house operations.
- Help drive sales, profitability, and excellent guest service.
- Supervise, coach, train, and support team members.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and employee development.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
- Monitor labor, inventory, and food costs to help meet business goals.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform cash handling duties, including drawer counts, deposits, and daily reports.
- Ensure company policies, recipes, and procedures are followed.
- Step into the Restaurant Manager role when needed to support daily operations.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to work varying or extended hours as needed to support the business, including covering shifts when team members are absent.
- Ability to work at other local restaurant locations when needed, with the possibility of relocation for career growth opportunities.
