Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. Your role will involve engaging with children through play-based learning and ensuring their well-being throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Supervise and engage with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive teaching approach that meets the diverse needs of all students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with children with disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.

Pay: $13.75 - $14.00 per hour
