What are the responsibilities and job description for the Midnight Staff position at Kids Count, Inc.?
The midnight staff works in one of our residential treatment facilities that are located in Butler, PA. Midnight staff is responsible for the supervision of residents during the scheduled sleep-time and wake-up routine.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or sixty credit hours or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field
or
High school diploma or general education development certificate and one year work experience with children
Shift Available:
Thursday-Saturday 9p-9a
Essential Functions:
- Ensure residents are sleeping in their assigned rooms and beds
- Conduct bed checks every 15 minutes
- Make sure residents are awake at appropriate times
- Ensure residents participate in morning hygiene
- Model and teach appropriate living and socialization skills
- Guide residents in goal attainment and maintenance
- Dispense medication as prescribed
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques
- Enforce house rules and natural consequences
- Transport residents when needed
- Advocate for child and their family
- Attend to basic living needs and skills
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
