What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Age Summer Teacher position at Kid's Castle?
Kid's Castle in Kenosha is a licensed childcare center seeking Full-time Teachers for our School Age Summer Program. Our summer program runs June 15th - August 10th. This is a seasonal position.
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma or GED and classroom experience at a licensed center.
Required Shift: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm.
Compensation: $15.50 - $17.50/hr. based on education and experience
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the camp program in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
