Treasury Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Treasury Specialist in San Diego, CA. Duties Include:

• Prepare initial close workbooks and imports for loans funding through Encompass (Construction products)
• Fund loans through warehouse line and update Encompass accordingly
• Communicate with Construction group along with other departments on ad hoc requests (payoffs, TCB draws, modifications)
• Prepare margin call reports for quarterly NMLS reporting
• Prepare monthly borrower billing statements for Construction and Builder loans
• Reconcile Reverse product loan advances
• Prepare Reverse product loan entries including Reverse securitization journal entries
• Reconcile accounts and verify entries are clearing in a timely manner and according to established procedures and guidelines
• Perform multiple account reconciliations as well as daily bank reconciliations
• Perform and thoroughly research monthly reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries to General Ledger via LoanVision.
• Work to increase team efficiency by providing recommendations for process improvement.
• Cross-train in other Treasury functions; act as a back-up when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned (to include short and term projects), as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience in accounting or finance related role(s)
• General knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, reconciliations, balance sheets and income statements
• General understanding of overall mortgage process rules and regulations, policies and ethical standards pertaining to wire transfers
• Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required
• Ability to analyze situations and choose appropriate course of action to resolve issues
• Highly proficient with data entry, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
• Intermediate Excel experience with the ability to create formulas and VLOOKUP's
• Mortgage banking experience with an emphasis in construction accounting preferred
• 10-key by touch preferred
• Prior experience using document retention software; AIQ and Encompass preferred
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
