Senior Cloud Networking Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to strengthen its Cloud Network Service Line and address inconsistencies in cloud network management across platforms and projects. This role is in Mesa, AZ. Core Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud networking solutions with a balance of hands-on execution and architectural design
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues between on-premise and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot connectivity between different cloud platforms
• Support VPC/VNET design, routing, load balancing, VPNs, and network incident response
• Partner with Application Engineering and IT teams to enable reliable, scalable cloud connectivity
  
  

Network Security & Compliance:

• Work directly with network security controls
  
  

Technologies In Scope Include

• Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls
• Azure and AWS Network Security Groups (NSGs) and ACLs
• Security Groups/NACLs
• Private Endpoints
• Zero Trust and network segmentation models
• Operate in environments subject to PCI and Government/Public Sector compliance requirements
  
  

Automation & Infrastructure as Code:

• Automation is important to the role, with some elements considered nice to have
  
  

Tools And Technologies Include

• Terraform
• Bicep/ARM
• CloudFormation
• Ansible
  
  

Responsibilities Related To Automation Include

• Maintaining existing infrastructure as code
• Reviewing and approving changes
• Consuming existing automation frameworks
  
  

Operations, Reliability & Support:

• Participate in on-call rotations
• Support incident response and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Use Dynatrace for monitoring and observability
• Uptime and availability are critical business drivers
  
  

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with Application Engineering teams
• Frequently explain networking concepts to non-network engineers
  
  

Requirements

• CCNA level understanding of network architecture and configuration
• 5 years of experience in enterprise network environments
• 5 years of experience in cloud networking environments
• Senior level expertise in Azure networking
• Senior level experience with Palo Alto and Fortigate technologies
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to work through ambiguity
  
  

Nice To Have Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud
• Experience with AWS

• Candidates with strong hybrid and multi cloud networking fundamentals are encouraged to apply. While deep expertise in a specific cloud provider is valuable, the company is open to candidates who have strong cloud networking experience and can adapt across platforms.
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
