Kforce has a client in Spring, TX that is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Production Accounting & Measurement. Core Responsibilities: Application Support & Maintenance:
- Deliver technical support for production accounting and measurement platforms such as ProCount, FLOWCAL, and CARTE
- Assist offshore operations, engineering, and accounting teams with field data capture and analytics
- Diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions or enhancements
- Oversee upgrades, patches, and integration with upstream and midstream applications
- Ensure accurate, timely transfer of measurement data from field devices (meters, SCADA) into accounting systems
- Configure allocation networks and formulas; Onboard new wells and facilities
- Validate production and allocation data for unconventional assets, pads, and facilities
- Apply data quality checks and reconciliation processes
- Develop and maintain SQL views, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting tools (Spotfire, Power BI); Create alerts for data integrity and variance monitoring
- Build and maintain interfaces between production accounting tools and ERP systems (SAP, P2R) or historians
- Automate workflows for allocations, balancing, and reporting
- Support regulatory and contractual reporting for agencies and royalty stakeholders
- Recommend best practices for calculation-based allocations
- Design solutions for daily/monthly close processes and reporting; Lead initiatives such as software upgrades, new allocation scenarios, and application testing
- Partner with engineers, measurement analysts, and accounting teams to resolve data/system issues
- Provide user training and documentation
- Strong knowledge of production accounting principles and measurement standards in unconventional oil and gas
- Experience with industry tools such as IFS ProCount, CARTE, FLOWCAL, or similar
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, data historians, and field measurement devices
- Proficiency in SQL, scripting (PowerShell), and data integration (Databricks, ADF) techniques
- Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and API-based integrations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 5 years of supporting IT systems for oil and gas production
- Familiarity with unconventional operations (shale, tight oil)
- Strong knowledge of production accounting workflows: month-end close, NRIs, regulatory filings, partner reporting, allocations, and PPAs
