Senior Associate or Manager- Tax

Responsibilities

Our Kforce client, located in Lebanon, (NH) is seeking a Senior Associate or Manager - Tax to join their growing firm with strong leadership, mentorship and a collaborative culture. Summary: In this role, you will support a variety of assurance and tax engagements. The position is scheduled as 3 days a week in office, but open to review a flexible work arrangement. Duties:

• Perform audit and accounting procedures (compliance testing, cash, AR, inventories, fixed assets, AP, accruals)
• Prepare tax returns and conduct basic tax research using relevant software
• Assist in preparing financial statements, applying basic GAAP principles
• Maintain accurate records of time and expenses for client billing
• Build and maintain positive client relationships
• Comply with CPE requirements (AICPA, State Board of Accountancy, Governmental Accounting Standards, Firm)
• Attend seminars or trade group events as requested
• Take on special projects or other duties as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA/CPA candidate
• 4 years of public accounting experience focusing on Tax
• Experience making constructive suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Basic knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and tax compliance principles
• Familiarity with tax software and research methods
• General understanding of transactional flow and key transition cycles in accounting
• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Aptitude to learn and use multiple software applications
• Awareness of audit processes and developing audit skepticism
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
