MDM Product Owner / Project Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Draper, UT that is seeking a MDM Product Owner/Project Manager. This is a strategic position within our client's Data Governance organization, responsible for the deployment, administration, and operational management of the Master Data Management (MDM) platform. The MDM Product Owner/Project Manager supports the delivery of customer master (FY27), product master, and supplier master (FY28 ) solutions and acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, and external vendors. Key Duties:

• Lead the implementation and operationalization of the MDM platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance standards and business objectives
• Act as the product owner, defining priorities, requirements, and roadmap for MDM initiatives
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design, build, and maintain high-quality master data solutions
• Manage deployment of customer master data in FY27, followed by product and supplier master data in subsequent phases
• Partner with external system integrators (SI) and internal -Run-Ops- teams to ensure world-class deployment and long-term sustainability of MDM solutions
• Integrate MDM capabilities with broader data governance tools and frameworks, including data cataloging, lineage tracking, and quality monitoring
• Participate in the broader Data Governance Council and contribute to initiatives related to sensitive data management, data retention, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CCPA)
• Provide operational and technical expertise in MDM tooling, with potential involvement in platforms such as Ataccama One, Informatica, or Collibra
• Operate within a hub-and-spoke Data Governance model, reporting into the Data Governance Office hub
• Collaborate with Data Governance Engineering Leads, Data Quality Leads, Metadata Stewards, and Business Data Stewards
  
  

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience deploying and managing MDM platforms in complex enterprise environments
• Familiarity with data governance tools and practices, including data cataloging, lineage mapping, and data quality reporting
• Strong architectural, engineering, and operational expertise in MDM tooling, with potential involvement in platforms such as Ataccama One, Collibra, or Atlan
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nearshore and offshore teams, taking into account time zone alignment and data access requirements

• Initial contract or contract-to-hire model, with a roadmap toward full-time employment (FTE)
• Potential to begin as part of an MVP team, with the opportunity to scale based on project maturity and organizational needs
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
