Kforce has a client in Somerset, NJ that is seeking a Credit and Collections Representative with experience supporting credit and collections functions in a large corporate environment. This role is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of accounts, administering credit limits and payment terms, reviewing accounts on credit hold, and collecting past-due balances while maintaining strong customer relationships. Duties Include:

This role is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of accounts, administering credit limits and payment terms, reviewing accounts on credit hold, and collecting past-due balances while maintaining strong customer relationships. Duties Include:
- Manage collection activities for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts
- Review orders on credit hold and determine appropriate action based on account status
- Maintain customer credit limits and payment terms
- Evaluate credit requests and recommend limit adjustments
- Identify potential bad debt accounts and pursue collection efforts
- Escalate high-risk accounts and recommend placement with collection agencies when necessary
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding statements, payments, and account balances
- Research and resolve account discrepancies and payment disputes
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate collection records
- Support payment portal setup and customer account maintenance activities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Credit and Collections experience
- Large corporate credit experience required
- Large corporate collections experience required
- The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial credit, collections, accounts receivable, and customer account management
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, credit analysis, and credit risk management
- Experience managing high-volume customer account portfolios
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential, as this position partners closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve payment issues and minimize credit
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to make sound business decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with ERP systems, including PeopleSoft, preferred
- Familiarity with Dun and Bradstreet, Creditsafe, or similar credit reporting tools preferred
