Responsibilities

Kforce's client is looking for a Community Resource Center (CRC) Specialist III to join their team in El Monte, CA. Overview: The Community Resource Center (CRC) Specialist II is a hands-on, community-facing role that supports individuals and families by connecting them to health education, wellness programs, and community resources. This position is based 100% onsite in El Monte, and plays a key role in daily operations, member support, and community engagement. This role focuses on community health and education, not enrollment or sales. All services are free and open to the community. Roles and Responsibilities: Member & Community Support:

  • Serve as a front-line, in-person support resource for community members and visitors
  • Respond to inquiries and help individuals navigate available health, wellness, and community resources
  • Identify needs related to social drivers (e.g., access to food, transportation, education) and connect individuals to appropriate services
  • Provide follow-up support in select cases to ensure needs are addressed

Outreach & Engagement:

  • Support community engagement activities and events that increase awareness and participation at the CRC
  • Assist with promoting classes, workshops, and health-focused programs
  • Help foster strong relationships with community partners, agencies, and vendors

Operations & Event Support:

  • Support daily CRC operations, including scheduling, room setup, and general coordination
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown for classes and clinics (tables, chairs, materials)
  • Maintain accurate records and support basic data entry and reporting
  • Support vendor and instructor coordination as needed

Project & Program Support:

  • Assist with planning, implementation, and evaluation of CRC programs and services
  • Support special projects by following established work plans, procedures, and timelines
  • Identify gaps in services and share recommendations for improvements

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 months of experience in: Community work, public service, healthcare, health education, or Operations, event support, or stakeholder coordination
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, and customer service skills
  • Comfort working directly with the public in a service-oriented environment
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

  • Experience in a community center, nonprofit, healthcare, or public-facing service setting
  • Experience with data entry, databases, or CRM tools
  • Bilingual skills preferred (based on community needs): Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, or other commonly used languages
  • Familiarity with community resources, social services, or health education programs

Details

  • 100% onsite role - Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturday availability for special community events or mobile clinics
  • Active, mobile role requiring standing, walking, and light physical tasks related to event setup

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
