Duties
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support culinary staff during busy service times.
- Clear and bus tables promptly, ensuring a clean dining environment for guests.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots or crates of supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and overall kitchen sanitation standards through regular cleaning routines.
- Support food handling procedures by ensuring all dishes and utensils are stored properly after cleaning.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food safety management and sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen health and safety standards are a plus.
- Experience with operating commercial dishwashers or kitchen equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
