Dining Server

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dining Server to join our vibrant team in providing exceptional food service within a healthcare or assisted living environment. Duties

• Serve meals and beverages to residents, patients, or guests with professionalism and a friendly attitude
• Assist with meal setup, food presentation, and timely delivery in accordance with dietary requirements
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including table sanitation, dishwashing, and overall sanitation practices
• Support food preparation activities in the kitchen as needed, including basic food handling and portioning
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards, workplace safety protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Buss tables promptly after meals, clear dishes, and assist with sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and dietary team to meet specific nutritional needs of residents or patients

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
• Knowledge of food production, meal preparation, and food handling safety practices
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or meal periods effectively
• Ability to work with geriatric patients or individuals with special dietary needs while adhering to dietary requirements
• Understanding of workplace safety standards including manual handling, heavy lifting, safe lifting practices, and sanitation procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
• Basic math skills for accurate portioning and order-taking
• CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience working with dietary departments or in dietetics is advantageous

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
