We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the company’s outgoing payments, ensure financial accuracy, and uphold compliance standards. Your expertise will help streamline our accounts payable processes, support financial integrity, and contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify all incoming invoices using various financial software
- Ensure timely payments by reviewing invoice details against purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Perform account reconciliations and double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate general ledger records
- Manage accounts payable automation tools and implement efficiencies in invoice processing workflows
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with Excel skills
- Experience with invoice processing and accounts payable automation solutions
- Familiarity with public accounting practices and technical accounting concepts including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and identifying discrepancies in financial data
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high attention to detail in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing
