Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
Assignment Length: Approximately 30–60 days
Start Date: As soon as possible

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Specialist to assist with certified payroll reporting. This short-term position will primarily focus on entering payroll information into various reporting portals to help reduce an existing backlog.

The Payroll Specialist will not be responsible for processing certified payroll. The primary responsibility will be reviewing payroll information and accurately entering the required data into designated systems and reporting portals.

Responsibilities

• Enter certified payroll information into multiple online reporting portals.
• Review payroll records for accuracy and completeness before data entry.
• Maintain organized and accurate payroll documentation.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Complete high-volume data entry while meeting reporting deadlines.
• Assist the payroll team with additional administrative duties as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience or a basic understanding of payroll processes.
• Strong data-entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with repetitive and high-volume information.
• Ability to learn new systems and reporting portals quickly.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Available to begin the assignment as soon as possible.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with certified payroll reporting.
• Experience entering information into government or contractor reporting portals.
• Familiarity with construction payroll, prevailing wage requirements, or compliance reporting.
