Summary
This position works with the leadership team driving employee engagement through effective recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance management processes. Reports to the Human Resources Director and supports in directly delivering and enforcing organization changes in process, procedures and policy in alignment with state and federal regulations and best practices.
Essential Functions
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies for open positions.
Partner with staff and leadership to execute hiring strategies.
Implements new hire orientation.
Advise, coach, and develop managers and supervisors on ways to engage and retain employees consistently and effectively.
Manages, coordinates, and tracks temporary employees and maintains relationships with multiple staffing agencies.
Continually sources candidates through personal network, database, and web searches.
Track all recruiting efforts to provide weekly reports and updates to leadership.
Build engagement through all levels of the organization and resolve employee concerns effectively.
Assist with benefits/wellness programs, rewards/recognition programs, events, and other HR functions.
Supports HR Director in processing company payroll, including complete wage garnishments, deductions and salary increases with Executive level approval.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
2 years related HR experience required or related field experience preferred.
2 Years Recruiting/onboarding Experience Required.
Previous experience working in a non-profit organization.
Required Functional Abilities
Strong written/oral communication skills and effective presentation abilities. Ability to communicate difficult or complex subject matters to diverse groups.
Skilled in active listening, time management, organizational skills, managing multiple tasks, following through, and relationship building.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Establishes strong relationships with executives, staff, clients, outside agencies, organizations, and individuals.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS and recruitment platforms.
Must be able to work autonomously and use sound judgement; demonstrate personal responsibility and integrity; show initiative and with a sensitivity to cultural diversity, lifestyle issues is essential.
Ability to handle sensitive material, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and displaying sound judgment.
Work Environment
Mobility sufficient to conduct regular duties within a normal office environment.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds in order to safely manage office supplies and equipment.

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
