Position Summary:
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join the Associated Materials Innovations' team and play a key role in enhancing the employee experience while supporting our strategic business objectives. This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with a strong track record of success and a passion for both operational excellence and strategic impact.
In this role, you'll provide day-to-day support in employee relations, partnering closely with managers and team members to foster a positive and productive work environment. You'll also contribute to broader HR initiatives across our U.S. Manufacturing organization, helping to drive meaningful change and continuous improvement.
What To Expect:
- Serve as a trusted resource by providing day-to-day support and guidance to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and employee engagement through proactive communication and inclusive practices
- Implement and administer HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations; support audits of employment transactions such as hires, terminations, and position changes
- Independently manage and process specific employee transactions within the HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping
- Engages and aligns local HR resources on business strategy, HR agenda and related deliverables
- Supports site-level HR processes related to compensation, benefits, recruitment, retention, and performance management by collaborating with internal stakeholders and operating within established organizational frameworks
- Works with site management by providing coaching and consulting support in all areas of talent management, including selection, assessment, development, deployment, engagement, and retention of talent
- Assists and builds effective and creative community involvement programs to attract and retain top talent
- May work with federal, state, and local educational institutions to secure training grants and develop educational partnerships that strengthen our business and help develop associates
- Collaborate with the Talent Development team to establish robust co-op/ internship programs, including the potential integration of business rotations into academic curricula at the program level
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and third-party staffing agencies to meet staffing needs
- Support change initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience by helping implement efficient, repeatable processes that drive continuous improvement for both employees and the business
- Performs additional duties as needed or assigned
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual proficiency preferred to support a diverse workforce (English/Spanish)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and project coordination skills
- Prior experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is preferred
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and understand business operations
- Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new HR systems and technologies
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant labor standards
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a positive workplace culture aligned with organizational value
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Comfortable with data, metrics, and analytics; financial acumen is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel to other sites as needed, up to 10% of the time
Work Environment:
The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant and office space. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Frequent use of company communication devices are required such as a computer, phone, and other office electronics.
