POSITION PURPOSE: The Program Manager is responsible for program
policy development and implementation, and supervision
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive services offered
through on-site and off-site programs. This includes assessment, case
management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community
liaison.
• The Program Manager is also responsible for preparation of patient records for
internal and external audits.
• The program manager is responsible for the submission of treatment plans for
authorizations as well as maintenance of charts.
• The program manager is responsible for all administrative tasks as well as clinical
supervision of each employee.
• The program manager must be able to work independently and be proficient in
resource development.
• They are responsible for the development, implementation and adherence to
program policy. In addition, the program manager is responsible for the training
of new employees and the supervision of the program.
• A program manager is responsible for maintaining their level of skill by
completing the required 20 hours per year of training. In addition, each
employee is expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the
department and facility.
• The program manager is responsible for carrying out the mission, philosophy of
care and policies of Key Point.
• They also perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and
objectives.
SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES
The Program Manager reports directly to their immediate supervisor and/or the
Program Director. The Program Manager coordinates with other professionals within
the agency as well as outside agencies to create an interdisciplinary team approach as
well as other assigned duties. The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency
and the profession as a whole.
DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• The program manager should have either experience or education related to the
population with whom they shall work.
• The employee should have knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the
most common diagnosis within the PRP programs.
• The program manager will be able to demonstrate proficiency in assessments,
treatment planning, advocacy skills and case management skills.
• The employee demonstrates the ability to express themselves well through
writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• They will demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally
diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentially.
Education and Experience:
• A master’s in vocational Rehab Counseling and a CRCC (Commission on
Rehabilitation Counselor Certification) or a bachelor’s level degree and a CPRP
(Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner).
• Experience may substitute for being “Bachelors prepared” but must have the
CPRP or CFRP certification (or be willing to earn their CFRP certification through PRA)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
PRP/COP Program Manager works in an office setting. PRP/COP Program Manager is not
expected to be exposed to unusual levels of heat, cold, light, or noise. The position may
require repetitive use of computer, keyboard and mouse.
TRAVEL
PRP/COP Program Manager is expected to travel locally between the office and client
residences. The PRP/COP Program Manager is not expected to travel overnight or out of
state.
