Application Engineer – Power Generation
Location: Tulsa, OK (Office-Based)
Salary: $100,000–$110,000 Bonus Benefits
Our client, a well-established U.S. manufacturer of engines, generator sets, and power solutions, is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to support technical project design, customer specifications, and product application across the power generation market. This is a key office-based role located at their Tulsa headquarters.
Role Overview
The Application Engineer will act as the technical expert for customer projects, ensuring the correct application, sizing, configuration, and integration of the company’s engines and generator systems. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver accurate solutions and high-quality customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to support sales and customer requirement discussions.
- Review specifications, size equipment, and recommend the correct engine or generator solutions.
- Develop application drawings, configuration details, and technical documentation.
- Assist customers and internal teams with product selection, installation considerations, and system integration.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet performance, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Support project handover to engineering and production teams.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing technical support.
- Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and competitive offerings in power generation.
Requirements
- Strong experience as an Application Engineer or similar role within the power generation, engines, gensets, or industrial equipment sector.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, engine performance, generator sizing, and industrial applications.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.
- Strong communication skills for working with customers, sales teams, and engineers.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple technical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
