MEP Procurement Engineer – Procurement & Supply Chain (Hybrid)
A leading national general contractor is confidentially seeking a MEP Procurement Engineer to support complex commercial and industrial construction projects across the U.S. This role blends technical MEP expertise with strategic procurement leadership, driving high-value sourcing decisions, supplier performance, and on-time delivery of critical building systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead procurement execution for all MEP scopes—aligning purchasing strategies with schedules, engineering deliverables, and construction milestones.
- Evaluate drawings, specifications, and site conditions to ensure alignment with design intent and identify value-engineering opportunities.
- Manage complex logistics, long-lead equipment, and delivery sequencing to maintain project continuity.
- Develop sourcing strategies, run RFPs, level bids, negotiate commercial terms, and award major purchase packages.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and OEM relationships while driving performance improvements through KPIs and contract adherence.
- Collaborate with legal teams on contract development, warranty requirements, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct cost modeling, TCO analysis, budget support, and procurement reporting.
- Stay current on MEP standards, technologies, market trends, and supply chain innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 6–10 years of MEP procurement, supply chain, or MEP project management experience in commercial or industrial construction.
- Proven success managing large MEP equipment packages and long-lead items.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and MEP design documents.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and reporting platforms (PowerBI, SQL, Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
