Kett Engineering is currently seeking a hardworking, detail oriented, and team contributing test driver for an automotive testing program based out of International Falls, MN.
Job Summary
The test driver will operate pre-production vehicles as part of a team on predominantly public roads while performing a full vehicle evaluation for each drive cycle. The test driver will be responsible for identifying any issues in relation to the powertrain, quality of build, functionality and design of vehicle systems, and any other vehicle related items.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete a full vehicle evaluation and complete a clear and concise report and any other records for each vehicle during assigned shift.
- Drive in small groups on designated routes for 8 to 10-hour shifts while performing test procedures.
- Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving of foreign specification vehicles and designated special tests.
- Operate vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road.
- Maintain safety and security procedures.
- Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.
Compensation
- $19.00/hr
- Position is part time and does NOT offer benefits.
Shifts
· Shift 1: 7am-3:30 pm
· Shift 2: 10:00am- 6:30pm
Minimum Requirements
- Possess a valid MN driver’s license for a minimum of 9 years and have no violations for the past 3 years.
- Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, written driving test, a road driving test, read maps, lift at least 25 pounds, and be able to travel outside of state limits.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Availability of 2 to 5 days per week Monday thru Saturday.
- Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time, from 8 miles to 600 miles per shift.
- Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.
- Follow directions and execute tasks. Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
- Complete required trainings.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute to a team environment.
