The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses, the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).

Position Overview:

Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Social Studies Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Social Studies, fostering a positive environment and contributing to the overall academic success of our students.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and rigorous Social Studies lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum.

• Foster a love for history and critical thinking skills among students.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and create an inclusive learning environment.

• Implement various assessment strategies to measure student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance instructional practices.

• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Studies, Social Studies Education, or a related field.

• Possess extensive knowledge of New York State K-12 Social Studies Framework and New York State Next Generation Learning Standards for Literacy in History/Social Studies

• New York State certification in Social Studies 7-12

• Strong knowledge of Social Studies content and a passion for teaching.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.

Experience:

• Previous teaching experience at the middle/high school level is preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and technology integration.
