KERAMIDA Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician to support our surveying team with the preparation of accurate survey deliverables and construction staking data. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in survey drafting, data processing, and surface modeling, with the ability to work independently on a variety of survey types.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician or in a related survey drafting role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare survey plats and drawings for:
- As-built surveys
- Boundary surveys
- Title surveys
- Pipeline surveys
- Topographic surveys
- Create and manage construction staking points for field crews
- Process and analyze survey data using Trimble Business Center
- Draft survey drawings and surfaces using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Search legal and survey records to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed
- Read and understand plans and specifications
- Create Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) from ground survey data
- Ensure survey deliverables meet company standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with surveyors, project managers, and field crews to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Trimble Business Center
- Strong understanding of survey principles, terminology, and workflows
- Experience creating DTMs, surfaces, and construction staking data from field survey data
- Ability to accurately interpret field notes and survey data
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, CAD Drafting, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous land surveying or engineering experience is a plus
- Experience with construction staking for civil and pipeline projects
- Familiarity with local and state survey standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
