ACCOUNTANT

KENT WORLDWIDE™ is seeking a detail‑driven and collaborative Accountant to join our KENT Shared Services Finance team in Muscatine, Iowa. In this role, you will support essential financial operations by managing daily grain payment activities, preparing key reconciliations, and contributing to month‑end close processes. This position plays a vital part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple accounting workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a commitment to precision, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support our shared financial goals.

This salaried position is designed and intended to be performed on-site in Muscatine, Iowa, offers a comprehensive benefits package, and reports directly to the VP of Financial Shared Services!

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Process daily grain payments, settlements, and adjustments
• Maintain grain vendor profiles
• Maintain positive pay records
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Maintain daily cash reconciliations
• Review and administer brokerage calculations
• Account for Foreign Sales Office activities
• Assist with administration of Corporate Credit Card Program
• Participate in special projects/committees as needed
• Complete assigned monthly duties to assist accounting personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Education, Experience, & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis tools
• Experience working in an ERP environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and communicate clearly
