PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and communicate upcoming domestic and international shipments, truckloads, and pickup schedules to support safe, efficient, and on-time warehouse operations.
- Prepare, release, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, picking documents, shipment records, and related paperwork.
- Verify and confirm outbound shipments by reviewing pallet counts, shipment accuracy, and required documentation prior to departure.
- Receive and process inbound shipments, post receipts, and maintain accurate receiving records.
- Coordinate pickup appointments and communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure safe and efficient shipment flow.
- Maintain driver and visitor sign-in logs and support compliance with site access, safety, and security procedures.
- Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel to resolve issues related to order fulfillment, inventory movement, shipment accuracy, and safe work practices.
- Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives while following established safety procedures and performing other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 months in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or other safety-focused work environment.
- Experience working with inventory records, shipping documents, data entry, or other detail-oriented administrative tasks.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs. on a regular basis and safely perform the physical requirements of the role.
- Experience using computer systems to enter, track, and maintain accurate information.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and following established safety procedures.
- Preferred: Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve routine issues while escalating more complex concerns as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all company safety policies and procedures.
