Job Description
Kensington360 is working with a leading manufacturer of mission-critical flow control products serving the industrial and aerospace & defense markets. The business is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join its Monroe, NC facility, supporting high-quality machining operations across turning, milling and multi-axis lathe environments.
This role will focus on developing, writing and optimizing CNC programs using G-code, CAD and CAM software, while working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and shop floor teams to improve machining processes, cycle times, tooling performance and production efficiency.
The CNC Programmer will also support setup documentation, tooling and fixturing development, standard work estimates and process improvements across precision machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify and optimize CNC programs for turning, milling and multi-axis machining operations.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers and machine operators to troubleshoot production issues and improve machining processes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements.
- Use CAD/CAM systems to create and maintain programs, tool lists, part routings and setup documentation.
- Support tooling and fixturing design, including custom tooling and fixture concepts.
- Partner with tooling vendors to improve tool life, reduce cost and increase throughput.
- Carry out time studies and standard data analysis to support machining rates, estimates and production planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Strong experience with G-code and CNC machining processes.
- CAD experience required.
- CAM experience preferred.
- Experience with turning, milling and/or multi-axis lathes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, fixturing, setup procedures and machining best practice.
- Strong maths ability, including geometry, trigonometry, ratios and practical shop-floor calculations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineering and production teams.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
