We’re seeking a highly motivated Area Sales Manager to join our expanding team, selling high-value industrial machinery to a diverse portfolio of clients across the New York region.
This role is ideal for a consultative salesperson who excels at building strong relationships, identifying customer needs, and delivering tailored technical solutions that have a measurable impact.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and nurture lasting customer relationships across your territory.
- Promote advanced manufacturing machinery and related services.
- Collaborate with technical and applications engineers to provide expert solutions.
- Present proposals, product demonstrations, and tailored recommendations.
- Strategically plan and execute to exceed annual sales goals.
- Visit customer sites frequently (targeting a minimum of 25 visits per week).
- Submit weekly territory planning and management reports.
- Travel internationally for semiannual visits to OEM partner factories.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or Associate’s degree with 5 years of B2B sales experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within manufacturing or industrial capital equipment.
- A proven record of closing complex deals and meeting ambitious sales targets.
- A proactive, independent approach to territory management.
- A collaborative mindset with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
