Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and implement annual service goals, objectives and strategies for achievement for the department and its service teams; MCR/SASS, Pathways, 590 team, and the Living Room.
- Actively engage as a member of Leadership Team, planning and directing the activities of KYC
- Provide direct oversight and clinical supervision for crisis services assuring that this function responds to requests for service in an efficient and responsive manner and within established guidelines
- Regularly monitor and maintain sufficient and balanced service capacity to meet demand
- Oversee, monitor, gather and submit documentation, data collection and reporting for applicable grants funding programs.
- Evaluate and respond to program staffing needs and staff selection by directing managers in job description development, interviewing, hiring, and orientation.
- Conduct regular planning, evaluation, and operational meetings with program managers
- Facilitate communication of all pertinent information generated from Leadership and other meetings to program staff on a timely basis
- Insure that all clinical activities performed by program staff are consistent with published standards, policies and procedures of the organization
- Receive administrative input from Department Director and provide feedback regarding clinical and administrative issues
- Participate in program planning, service coordination, practice development, as a member of the Program Director Team, Continuous Quality Improvement Committee and Program Services Committee
- Participate in discussions and decisions for program expansion and new program development. This could include expansion of existing programs under this position, new programs and potential reorganization of internal structure to meet the needs of each program.
- Participate in Division budget process actively monitoring that teams are meeting revenue targets
- Act as a liaison between divisions, departments and programs to ensure service coordination and continuity of care
- Provide ongoing performance evaluation for supervisees building on strengths and identifying ongoing growth/training needs
- Develop and implement plan for the team to strengthen relationships with and provide outreach services to local school districts and other community providers
- Effectively implement and monitor program performance including individual and unit productivity expectations.
- Participate in visibility/publicity efforts related to KYC and be able to present and promote KYC services to consumers and supporters
- Understand clinical services and programs and provide backup to managers and supervisory staff as needed
- Interpret and communicate at a service delivery level KYC policy and procedures
- Provide input on the EOC for buildings utilized by department programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide supervision and performance evaluation for MCR/SASS Manager, Manager of
- 590, Pathways, and the Living Room.
- Provide back up, oversight and supervision for teams in the absence of Program Managers
- Lead unit informational, communication and training meetings
- In cooperation with Team Lead, identify training and development needs of staff and develop unit training activities.
- Act as Agency Liaison to HFS, MCO’s, SASS provider network, school districts, hospitals, local police stations, other community partners.
- Provide a full range of crisis screening, assessment, and support services to a small caseload of clients and their families.
- Maintain a high level of personal and team documentation compliance including timely review and signing of team members’ mental health assessment and treatment plans.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in both office and community setting including customers’ homes.
- Opportunities for part of the week to include Work from Home hours with Director Schedule approval. This schedule and approval is subject to change based on the needs of the programs.
- Staff are required to own and operate a vehicle safely
- Staff also need to effectively use telecommunications and standard office equipment.
- While performing essential functions, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather/road conditions, fumes, and airborne particles.
- Will be required to drive as frequently as daily for meetings and/or visits to residential facilities.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university of social work, psychology, or related discipline
- Licensed to practice independently in the State of Illinois; meet LPHA guidelines in IL Rule 132/140 Administrative Code.
- Minimum of five years experience providing clinical services to youth and adults in a community based setting
- Preferred crisis leadership experiences.
- Preferred five years experience providing post masters clinical supervision
- Must have three years of demonstrated ability to provide clinical and administrative supervision
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation required.
- Proficient Computer skills required
- Full Time – Exempt, 37.5 hour work week
- Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served, including evenings and weekends
